Flow module
To All, In my simulation, I get the following error message WARNING, Flow: continuity not converged 3.232E-02 > 1.000E-02 /s What do I have to change in my simulation so that the "divergence criterion for continuity equation"n is fulfilled? Thanks in advance Johann Attached the selected Flow solver ...

Ti6Al4V
Dear everyone, my object is the heat treatment of Ti6Al4V martensite microstructure obtained by additive manufacture. During additive manufacture, fine martensite needle-like structures of the alpha phase are created. Depending on the selected heat treatment temperature the martensite structure tran...

Re: In-file returns strange range of seed radii
Hello Bernd,
can you give a sample about seed density for the clustering? The first two numbers are clear, the radius and the seed density, but what exactly do I define with the cluster and the cluster density? An example would be helpful.
Many Thanks,
Johann

Re: thermodynamic questions...
Hi Bernd, by using a database the log-file gives information about linearisation parameters of the phases XXX/YYYY. Some information are clear for me like TO, dG, dS, dH C0 and m. Unfortunately I don't understand the background of dcdT and the interaction matrix. Could you give me a bit more details...

variable initial concentration
It is possible to change the concentration between two components within the domain during the simulation like a source or a sink outside the domain?

Re: solidification of a ternary alloy composition
Dear Bernd,
I see, I was on the wrong track. Now, it is clear for me.
Thank you and best regards,
Johann

Re: solidification of a ternary alloy composition
Dear Bernd, I am still not really familiar with the solidification velocity. In the dri.-file, the minimum undercooling is select with deltaT = 10 K, the entropy is deltaS = 1.344 J ∙cm-3 ∙K-1 (from log-file) and the kinetic coefficient µ = 2∙10-2 cm4 ∙J-1∙s-1 (dri.-file). This gives me a velocity o...

Re: solidification of a ternary alloy composition
Dear Bernd, the velocity of the solidification front is given by: V=T ̇/GT , with V is the velocity, T ̇ is the cooling rate, and GT the temperature gradient. Further one, the velocity is given by: V=µ∙∆S∙∆T , with µ is the kinetic coefficient, deltaS the entropy, and deltaT the undercooling. In MIC...
