The total energy function equation in micress

Hi, all:
Normally, in phase field mothod, we have a energy function f(c,eta), but when we use micress, there is no option to input our own energy function, so, if we want to define our own energy function, how to get there?
Best regards!

Re: error when coupling to ges5

Hi,Bernd: Thanks a lot, I'm so sorry that I still have some question  ,when I simulate the simulation of voids in steel(just assume the system contains only Fe and VA), the number of dissolved constituents in concentration data section is 1 or 2? And when I draft the phase-diagram manually, f...

error when coupling to ges5

Dear Bernd: Thank you for your advice on simulating the voids in iron. I create a GES5 file which contains two elements---Fe and VA.But when I coupled it in Micress, it says the GES5 file contains only Fe. And the error is number of components in database is not identical to given number. Have you e...

Question about nucleation

Dear Bernd: According to my observation in experiment, nucleation is easier to happen in interface than bulk. And I want to simulate it with Micress. I know there are two nucleation models in Micress. One is seed undercooling model and another is seed density model. In my opinion, the formation ener...

how to simulate the evolution of voids in a material

Hi, I'm a new user of Micress, and I want use Micress to simulate the evolution of voids in steel. Let's assume that a pure iron is under irradiation. After irradiation, there are many small vacancies in the iron, and I think the vacancy will aggregate to form voids(bigger vacancy). I don't think th...
