Elastic constant setting of hexagonal

Hello everyone, I want to simulate the alpha-Ti (hexagonal) participating from beta-Ti (cubic) considered the stress. I get the elastic constant c11, c12, c13, c33 and c55 of alpha-Ti, but only c11, c12 and c44 can be set for alpha-Ti (hexagonal). The detail settings were shown as follows: ...... # ...

2D-temperature field input

Hello,

I want to simulate the microstructure evolution on the interface of solid and melt pool in 3-D printing process.
I found that there is only 1-D temperature field can be inputted.
So I want to know whether is possible to input a 2-D non-linear temperature field ?

spinodal decomposition

Hello, Recently, I am try to simulate the process of spinodal decomposition. Question 1: Different from the normal solidification which should nucleation first, the spinodal decomposition have no nucleation. Therefore I set Grain input and Data for further nucleation as following: # Grain input # ==...

Problems with PGM_to_MICRESS

Hello, I am a new user of MICRESS. Recently, I run the process along the munual "Preparing Experimental Microstructures for MICRESS". Every thing have done except the last step when I run the command : PGM_to_MICRESS.exe C.pgm C.txt. The program started, then the cursor shining everywhere in the bla...
