Re: Interpretation of output - intf.mcr

Dear Brend, Thank you for the answer. Yes, I understand that it is a very tedious task to get the phase field parameter as output. But, .intf* output helps to identify the exact interface points. I have one more question about the interpretation. If you look at the figure attached and follow the gre...

Interpretation of output - intf.mcr

Dear Bernd, I have a question about how to "intf.mcr - gives output regarding the interface region". How is this interface tracking parameter calculated (back ground)? I believe that it is calculated from the phase field parameter (please correct me if I am wrong). Is it possible to track the phase ...

Parallel threads : problem

Dear Bernd/Ralph, I am now using MICRESS 6.4 version and have some problem with the execution of 'parallel threads' parameter. I am running a simulation and trying to implement the usage of different cores. I see that the simulation time is increasing with the usage of multiple cores. For example, m...

Re: MICRESS Training 2018

Dear Bernd,
I have mailed to George, regarding MICRESS training, on 25th of July. I haven't received any reply from him yet. As you said there are only limited places could you tell me if there is any other possible way to register?
Thank you.

Best regards,
Sudhee.

Re: CMSX4:Simulation Error

Dear Bernd,
Sure. I got the point.
I did make the changes you explained and is working fine now. I will let you know if any other issues occur.
Thank you very much for the help.

Best regards,
Sudhindra.

Re: CMSX4:Simulation Error

Dear Bernd, Thank you for the reply. Yes, the problem of negative diff. coeff. is solved. I understand what you are suggesting and it eventually solved the problem. But, is it correct considering substitutional alloying elements as 'normal' instead of 'NPLE' (as C kinetics is slowed down as it has t...

Re: CMSX4:Simulation Error

Dear Bernd, I used MOBFe3 for the new calculations. The concentrations are going to negative values and also the diffusion values are decreased by large numbers, which later caused problems. I have attached the screen output (.scr), input file (.in), log-file (.log), linearisation output (.TabLin) a...

Re: CMSX4:Simulation Error

Dear Bernd,
I use Thermocalc-2016a and TCFE8 database and Mob2 for diffusion data.

Can I know which ones did you use?

Best regards,
Sudhindra.

Re: CMSX4:Simulation Error

Dear Bernd,
Thank you for the suggestions. I implemented this kind of changes earlier, but still, it shows the same error.
Is it because of the relinearization interval of the phase diagram? I have set that to be 0.5s, is it too small and leading to this kind of error?
