Re: Error in reading diffusivity from database
Welcome, Kamal! next quesion ... Which Thermo-Calc version did you use to create the GES5 file? MICRESS 5.4 use a Thermo-Calc library from TC version R (32 bit) and requires an appropriate GES5 file format. For sure, a file generated with a 32 bit version of Thermo-Calc. But there were other interna...

Re: Post Processing using Paraview
Ah sorry!
I should have tried it with the same version before giving advice.
It works as expected at my site (win 64 bit, Paraview 5.5.0).
Maybe an OpenGL problem?
Can you try an installation on another machine?

Re: Post Processing using Paraview
Can you try to change the slicing pane to XZ ?
Seems that Paraview 5.5 takes XY per default, now. Former versions just evaluate dimensions as given in the VTK and present the 2D plane as defined.

Re: Post Processing using Paraview
Hej Chamara,
are there any error message from the Paraview file reader?
Hard to say what is going wrong here. Can you attach the file or send it to support?
I tested Paraview 5.4.1 and DP_MICRESS VTK ascii output a minute ago. It works like a charm.

Re: Random Error in MICRESS 6.4
No. It's not a problem despite this nasty error messages at the end. I guess you deleted the files because there are written in your current working folder and they disturb you. These files will be created at each start of MICRESS. The recommended way to get rid of them is to set another temporary d...

Re: Random Error in MICRESS 6.4
Hi Chamara,
these are temporary files used for the MICRESS output message system (fort... files).
These files are created in your temporay directory (see content of $TMPDIR) or in your current working folder.
Did you erase these files before MICRESS has finished ?
Best,
Ralph

Re: Boundary Conditions
Use the option 'linear' or 'linear_from_file' in the temperature boundary section. That way, you can define can define values for the temperature at the bottom and the gradient in Z-direction for each given point of time. In between the given values, it will be interpolated linearly. Like this: line...

Re: Cr-Ni eutectic alloy simulation
Ah got it.
You switched off interaction of phase 1 and 2, but you try to give a phase diagram input for this.
Comment this part.
