time step
In MiCRESS, when automatic time step is set, the time step will be optimized. what is the criterion? Is it only fourier stable condition for both phase fields and concentration? I think there is also a constraint that the displacement of interface should be smaller than its thinkness, right?

nucleation issues
(1) when we define the nucleation condition, we set the maximum number of nuclei (N), and the max number of sumultaneous nucleation (n). Does that means that for every check, the program search all the favorable nucleation sites and then randomly selet n sites if available sites are enough? And what...

Re: input of static anisotropy changed!
what about the grain boudary? The energy and mobility anisotropy formula used is MICRESS. they are also the same as you mentioned above, x=x0*(1-k*cos(n*t)), where x is energy or mobility, k is the static or kinetic coefficient, n is symmetry, t is the angle? if so, what the exact meaning of t, the ...

how to determine the initial iteration
1) we know, some initial iterations are needed to get the smooth and equilibrium interface. the question is how to determine the number of iterations. And during the iteration, I think the interface also moves, maybe just a small distance? 2) which model does MICRESS use for anisotropic interfacial ...
