small question on unit

Post by userwei » Mon Jan 11, 2010 1:21 pm

Hello,

I want to ask what the unit is used for .driv, .dGsp and .krum results (J, cm, s or J, micrometer, s or J, m, s).

I guess .driv and .dGsp are in J/cm**3 and .krum is in 1/cm but I am not sure.

Many thanks in advance

Dear userwei,

It is correct that the units for the driving force outputs (.driv, .dGsp) is J/cm3, but for curvature (.krum) it is 1/µm! This is because for us it seems to be more convenient for microscale modeling...

Best regards

Bernd
