quention arised on interface mobility

Post by yzn12 » Thu Oct 09, 2014 5:35 pm

Dear bernd:

Hi! I want to ask you some question about setting the interface mobility.
From the examples, it is clear that the interface mobility is a constant value. But in cases more complicated, we need to try if it is possible to set a variable mobility, i.e., the mobility can change with temperature, Carbon ot alloying element concentration in the growth front. Since it is very important to my work, I need your help in solving it.

Best wishes!

Dear Yang,

it would be difficult to make the interface mobility depending on composition, but you can easily make it dependent on temperature or driving force! You just select

# Type of mobility definition between phases 1 and 2?
# Options: constant temp_dependent dg_dependent
temp_dependent
# File for kinetic coefficient between phases 1 and 2?
mueVonT1_2
#
...

You can also write the file name in the same line with "temp_dependent".
The content of the text file mueVonT1_2 could look like that:

# Temperature mobility
1700 0.1
1600 0.05
1500 0.025
1400 0.01
...

An example for driving force dependent mobility is Grain_Growth_Solute_Drag_dG_dri.
