Synthetic microstructures with Dream3D ?

Post by stephane44 » Wed Jun 01, 2022 3:07 pm

I wish to explore the generation of synthetic microstructure through Dream3D.

Can it be done for 2D microstructures in some way or is it confined to 3D calculations ?

Are there any other resources besides the Dream3D tutorial and the Micress training slides ?

I did not find many posts on this topic within this forum.

Thanks,

Stéphane

You can use pseudo 2D microstructures, i.e. one voxel layer. It is recommended to set the Y dimension to one for later use in MICRESS.

For further documentation of Dream.3D, you have to rely on their documentation. Filter help pages (accessed from inside Dream.3D: question mark) are useful.

Best,
Ralph
