Reading GES5 workspace

Post by waltergarcia » Thu May 25, 2023 11:44 am

Hello,

When I try to use a database in my simulation I receive the following message:

# Reading GES5 workspace ...
# Index relations between TC and MICRESS
# --------------------------------------
# The database contains the following components:
# 1: C
# 2: FE
# 3: MN
# Number of components in database is not
# identical to given number
Press any key to exit

I'm not sure how to correct this. Earlier in the simulation I specified 3 components in solution...

Thanks!

Dear waltergarcia,

Welcome to the MICRESS Forum!

When you define 3 dissolved element in MICRESS, you essentially assume to have a 4-component system, because you need to add the matrix component. On the other hand, when you open a .GES5-file and MICRESS tells you that it contains 3 Elements, this number already includes the matrix component (in this case Fe). I.e., for the given ternary Fe-C-Mn system of the .GES5-file, you need to define only 2 dissolved elements (i.e. C, Mn) in MICRESS.
I hope this solves your problem.

Best wishes
Bernd
