New feature: linearTQ

Post by Bernd » Thu Feb 26, 2009 10:31 pm

Hi all,

Now (with the actual beta version of MICRESS) it is possible to input linearised phase diagrams in to ways, the normal linear phase diagram as before (keyword "linear" in phase diagram input) and in form of complete linearisation data as they are written into the MICRESS .log file (keyword "linearTQ").

Example:

# Input of the phase diagram of phase 0 and phase 1:
# --------------------------------------------------
linearTQ
845.00000 ! T0 [K]
-0.42264321 ! dG [J/cm**3]
0.85878807 ! dSf+ [J/cm**3K]
0.73262149 ! dSf- [J/cm**3K]
594.33771 ! dH [J/cm3]
32.015697 ! c0(AG)/LIQUID
16.319584 ! c0(AG)/FCC_A1
-2.5376019 ! m(AG)/LIQUID
-0.99766761 ! m(AG)/FCC_A1
-5.78941591E-02 ! dcdT(AG)/LIQUID
0.17261492 ! dcdT(AG)/FCC_A1

(the enthalpy difference dH is not used, it is read as a dummy in order to allow copy and past!)

Main advantage: One can use directly the MICRESS output of a TC-coupled simulation as input for a linearised simulation.
Moreover, this new feature can be important for the linearised simulation of a eutectic system with solid-solid interactions, where the slopes have opposite sign!
