Re: problem of coupling with Thermo-Calc
OK. This looks good. Can you open your log file and see what it says? (mymicress.log file). Lets see if the server start was successful.. If yes, go ahead and try using Micress again.
Re: problem of coupling with Thermo-Calc

Re: problem of coupling with Thermo-Calc
Ok. That's a bit strange. Is your license working? Have you checked Micress again?
If its not working, can you try running lmtools as an administrator (right click lmtools.exe icon and choose 'Run as Administrator') and start the server again?

Re: problem of coupling with Thermo-Calc
Also this results.. .MICRESS could work. the license is the MICRESS license not the Thermo-Calc lisence, right?

Re: problem of coupling with Thermo-Calc
Hi Sai Li,
Yes, the license file here should be the micress license file, for the FlexLM server. ThermoCalc uses Sentinel license server. By the way, your ThermoCalc license server should also be in the same machine if you want to use micress with TQ coupling. You can come to this later on.
For me, you log file looks a bit strange. At this point I would like to re-route this discussion to some one in the Micress team. I'm not fully experienced with starting the server in Windows (I use Linux server here). It was a nice discussion with you. Looking forward for your future posts...

Dear Micress team,
In case you missed out on this topic, Sai Li needs helps in starting the license server in Windows. I couldn't help him here beyond a point..
Warm Regards,
Deepu

Re: problem of coupling with Thermo-Calc
Dear Deepu,
Thanks really a lot for your efforts. I know that George is currently in contact with Sai Li by e-mail. I don't know the current status, however it seems not to be an easy case!
Unfortunately, Ralph is on holidays until end of this week. He would otherwise have stepped in rapidly...
Best wishes
Bernd
