Construction of GES

Hi Bernd,
I tried to make a GES file with the FE-data-V6 and the MOB2 databases to simulate the solidification of the alloy with Mo and N. Attached commands were used. Could you teach me correct commands?
Regards,
Taka

Hi Taka,
technically it should work like you did - what was the problem you experienced? I personally have no experiences with FE-DATA. Sometimes it happens that the databased which you join are not compatible...
Which TQ version are you using? This can also have an effect in case of incompatibilities!

Hi Bernd,
Thank you for your reply.
I am faced with a problem in using "append" command during making GES file.
After "append" command input, I have no idea what I should input because several unfamiliar massagees were displayed. Could you teach me what the massages mean?
Regards,
Taka

Hi Taka,
it seems really to be an incompatibility of the two databases - interestingly, as I heart, it occurs only with TCS and not with TCR...
So, I can only advise you to do one of the following:
- don't use diffusion data for the LIQUID phase which probably makes the trouble (the values are anyway 1.E-5 cm2/s for all elements!)
- ask Nigel Saunders/ThermoTech whether he has a fix for that
- use another steel database, e.g. TCFE6
- use the old version R of Thermo-Calc (then, of course, you also have to use MICRESS with TQR
)
I hope that this advices help you to work around the problem...

Hi Bernd,
Sorry for my delayed reply.
Unfortunately, I don't have the licenses for the TCFE series.
Would you like tell me Mr. Saunders's email address via private messages?
I'll ask him about the details of FEV6.
Regards,
Taka
